QPR’s run ended by late Blackburn penalty

Blackburn 1 QPR 0

Bradley Dack’s late penalty ended QPR’s unbeaten run.

Dack netted from the spot after Josh Scowen had tripped Ben Brereton in the area with three minutes remaining.

Rangers had defended well and appeared to be heading for a fourth consecutive clean sheet and a sixth successive game unbeaten.

They were without Tomer Hemed, who missed out with a groin problem, and Geoff Cameron, who was unable to shake off a hamstring problem in time to play.

Cameron’s absence meant a return to the side for Scowen, who played well before the rash challenge which cost the R’s the game.

On a brighter note for Rangers, Darnell Furlong featured for the first time this season.

Furlong, back after the knee injury he suffered during pre-season, came on as a late substitute.

QPR: Lumley, Rangel (Furlong 87), Leistner, Lynch, Bidwell, Scowen (Chair 87), Luongo, Wszolek, Eze (Smith 76), Freeman, Wells.
Subs not used: Ingram, Hall, Cousins, Osayi-Samuel.
