Eustace brought in as QPR assistant boss

New QPR manager Steve McClaren has installed John Eustace as his assistant.

Eustace, 38, has left his job as manager of non-League Kidderminster Harriers to take the role at Loftus Road.

He previously played under McClaren at Middlesbrough and Derby County.

The former midfielder started his career at Coventry, where he played in the Premier League, and spent a month on loan with McClaren at Boro before five-year spells with Stoke City and Watford.

He made 168 appearances for Watford before leaving in 2013 to join Derby, where he had been on loan four years earlier.

Eustace took over as Kidderminster manager in April 2016 and guided them to the National League North play-offs both this season and last.

The future of Marc Bircham, who was former boss Ian Holloway’s assistant, has yet to be decided.
