Dembele and Obikwu to miss QPR’s game at Charlton

Karamoko Dembele and recent signing Justin Obikwu will miss QPR’s London derby against Charlton on Friday.

Dembele went off during the first half of Saturday’s win against Coventry, while striker Obikwu picked up an injury in training following his move from the Sky Blues.

Dembele is still being assessed and Rangers expect to know more about his condition in the next 48 hours.

And head coach Julien Stephan admitted on Tuesday afternoon that he is currently unsure when Obikwu will be available.

“It’s not serious but he’s not able to restart (training) and, to be fair, I don’t want to hide anything but we don’t know exactly when he will be able to,” Stephan said.

“It’s a very small thing but he needs to recover. I hope he will come back quickly but I don’t have any idea when he will be able to restart.”

Rangers are still without the likes of Ilias Chair, Kwame Poku and Jake Clarke-Salter.
