Defender passed fit for Arsenal clash

Clint Hill has recovered from a back problem and is available to start QPR’s home clash with Arsenal, manager Mark Hughes has confirmed.

Hill has sat out Rangers’ last two matches but earlier this week declared himself fit for Saturday’s game.

And Hughes today confirmed that the defender has stepped up his training and could start this weekend.

The R’s boss is also hopeful that forwards Heidar Helguson and DJ Campbell will be ready to return for next Sunday’s game against Manchester United.

Helguson has been out with a groin problem and Campbell a hamstring injury, but both have resumed full training.

Their return would be a timely boost for Rangers given that Djibril Cisse is suspended following his sending-off against Sunderland.
