Deal agreed for QPR to sign Obikwu for initial £500,000
QPR have agreed a deal to sign striker Justin Obikwu from Coventry City.
An agreement in principle is in place for the 21-year-old from Brent to return to London for an initial fee of £500,000.
Personal terms are still to be agreed and there are other clubs interested in Obikwu, but he looks set to move to Loftus Road.
Rangers are looking to offload Michael Frey and bring in the 6ft 4in youngster, who turns 22 next month.
Obikwu, a Trinidad & Tobago international, played for Hillingdon-based non-League club Harefield United before being signed by Coventry.
He has not made a first-team experience for the Sky Blues, who have recalled him from a season-long loan at Lincoln City in order to sell him.
Obikwu made 17 League One appearances for Lincoln, 13 of them as a substitute, and scored three goals. He was previously on loan at Grimsby Town.
