Celtic star denies he is heading to QPR

Celtic’s Korean playmaker Ki Sung-Yueng has denied suggestions he will be unveiled as a QPR player on Monday.

Rumours have been fuelled by Scottish media reports that Celtic believe they are about to receive an £8m bid from the R’s for Ki.

He is one of a host of players QPR have expressed an interest in since the end of last season.

But, speaking at a press conference ahead of South Korea’s Olympic campaign, the 23-year-old said: “I heard that QPR will have a press conference with a Korean player. But I won’t be there.

“I know that they showed interest in me but I don’t know what’s going on right now. Anyway, I’m not the player who will attend the press conference.

“I have not decided my future. Now is the time to focus on the Olympics. It’s uncomfortable to see many transfer stories about me.”
