Brentford youngster Arthur joins Portsmouth

Brentford centre-back Benjamin Arthur has joined Portsmouth on a season-long loan.

The 20-year-old heads to Fratton Park in search of regular senior minutes after making three first-team appearances for the Bees so far.

Arthur spent part of last term on loan in Scotland with Celtic, where he featured six times.

Brentford are keen for him to get a full campaign of competitive football under his belt.

Portsmouth begin that league campaign against QPR on Saturday.
