Warburton unsure when injured QPR players will return

QPR boss Mark Warburton

Mark Warburton is unsure whether QPR will have any of their injured players back for Monday’s game at Derby.

Strikers Lyndon Dykes and Andre Gray remained sidelined for the win over Huddersfield along with Moses Odubajo.

Of the three, Odubajo currently looks the most likely to return to the squad for the trip to the East Midlands.

Rangers boss Warburton explained: “Moses is probably the closest at the moment, with Andre just behind him and Lyndon just behind Andre.

“Where they’re going to be in a number of days, I don’t know. I’m hoping I’m talking about a very short period of time.

“We only had 16 fit players (for the Huddersfield game) and have to hope we can add to that for Monday.”

Wednesday’s victory took Rangers up to fourth in the Championship table.

They are unbeaten in their past five matches – a run which has included three wins and three clean sheets.

And Luke Amos’ late winner preserved their record of being the only team in the division to have scored in all their league matches this season.

Warburton said: “It was a chance to cement our place in the top six and start putting daylight between other teams.

“I’m delighted that we achieved that, because they’re the games where you can drop points and look back on in May.

“So to get that goal, the clean sheet and the points, is really pleasing.
