Boss keen for QPR to attract Asian fans

Manager Neil Warnock believes QPR’s new sponsorship deal can help the club attract young fans in Asia.

Malaysia Airlines will sponsor Rangers’ home shirt and AirAsia the away shirts as part of a two-year agreement.

“The youngsters in Asia, and in Malaysia in particular, can get on board with something that’s just beginning to happen,” said Warnock.

“It gives them an option – an alternative – because not everyone wants to be associated with clubs where money’s no object. We all like an underdog.

“We’re putting ourselves out to the next generation. The exciting challenge for us now is to get a new generation of youngsters in Asia supporting Queens Park Rangers.”
