Boss confirms QPR want teenage defender

QPR boss Harry Redknapp has confirmed that the club plan to bring in teenage defender Coll Donaldson from Livingston.

Rangers have been in discussions with the Scottish Championship outfit and are expected to sign Donaldson, 18, for around £150,000 this week.

He is primarily a central defender but can also play at right-back. QPR decided to add him to their squad after several clubs south of the border were made aware of his potential availability.

“He’s a young lad that we’re interested in signing,” said Redknapp.

“I don’t know where we’re at with that one at the moment, but he’s a young player and we said we’d take him.”
