Dunne’s winner gives QPR another away victory

Jimmy Dunne’s header made it two away wins out of two for QPR, who remain unbeaten after their first three Championship matches of the season.

Ryoya Morishita put Blackburn ahead with a spectacular strike from the edge of the box just after half-time at Ewood Park, but Paul Smyth levelled before Dunne headed home Tariq Lamptey’s cross.

Rangers hit back less than two minutes after going behind.

Rumarn Burrell chased Ronnie Edwards’ ball down the right, before beating Sean McLoughlin and setting up Smyth to apply the finish.

Smyth then crossed for Burrell, who headed wide, and Rangers continued to apply the pressure.

And they were rewarded when Dunne clinched another excellent victory on the road for Julien Stephan’s side.
