McCarthy makes his first QPR appearance

Alex McCarthy featured for QPR’s development side against Barnsley on Tuesday – the goalkeeper’s first outing since his recent move to Loftus Road.

McCarthy, signed from Reading last week, made two impressive saves in the second half of the game at Rangers’ Harlington training ground, where the home side won 2-0 with Reece Grego-Cox scoring both goals.

Meanwhile, Eduardo Vargas has received a visa following his move to the club from Napoli.

The Chilean forward is therefore eligible to play in the game at Manchester United a week on Sunday.

So too is Niko Kranjcar, who has received international clearance after returning to Rangers on season-long loan from Dynamo Kiev.

  • QPR need a top draw striker/finisher in the squad.
Apart from that with luck and a fair wind all looks good.
The win against Sunderland was important to lift spirits and remember the Hull game QPR should have won.
Burton game was remarkable because the team on paper for QPR looked strong.
