Wealdstone sign Kanu and Maher on loan

Wealdstone have signed Reading’s Abraham Kanu and Walsall’s Ronan Maher on loan for three months.

Defender Kanu (pictured) spent last season playing in the National League, on loan at Forest Green Rovers.

The 21-year-old signed his first professional contract with Reading in 2024. He has since made 10 appearances in League One and also played six times for the Royals in cup competitions.

Midfielder Maher, also 21, has made 15 league appearances for Walsall, 13 of them as a substitute, and has spent most of the past couple of seasons on loan at Tamworth.
