Wealdstone defender Barrett sidelined by ACL injury

Wealdstone defender Mason Barrett faces a lengthy spell on the sidelines after suffering anterior cruciate ligament damage.

Barrett sustained the injury during Tuesday night’s match at Forest Green Rovers and scans have confirmed the club’s worst fears.

Manager Gary Waddock told the club website: “We are all gutted for Mason. He’s a top guy and was getting back to his best form. He’ll get every support from all of us.

“He’s a strong character and a great person.”
