Striker Fitzgerald in Stones exit

Striker Scott Fitzgerald has left Wealdstone after two years with the club.

Fitzgerald, who was signed from Hayes & Yeading, made a total of 43 appearances for the Stones, scoring 31 goals.

“We are very sorry to see Scott leave us,” said manager Gordon Bartlett.

“Scott has been a model professional and has provided a very positive contribution to the team and the dressing room, where he was highly regarded by the management team and all the players.

“We understand his reasons for leaving and wish him all the very best in whatever he chooses to do in the future.”

Meanwhile, summer signing Ries Stanislaus has joined Chalfont St Peter on loan.
