Manager Wilkinson leaves Wealdstone for ‘non-footballing reasons’

Manager Bobby Wilkinson has left Wealdstone for “non-footballing reasons”, the club have announced.

His departure comes five days after his side lost to Woking in the National League South play-offs.

In a statement, Wealdstone said: “Whilst the club deeply regrets this outcome, we would like to place on record our thanks for the contribution that Bobby, and his management team, have made during their time at the club.”

Wilkinson succeeded the long-serving Gordon Bartlett in May 2017 and led the Stones to the FA Trophy semi-finals last year.
