Hayes & Yeading sign two as Cox leaves

Managerless Hayes & Yeading United have signed two new players after allowing striker Pat Cox to leave the club for the second time this season.

Cox, who remains United’s top scorer with seven goals, only rejoined two weeks ago following a short spell at Basingstoke.

Former Portsmouth striker Chinedu Vine and ex-Peterborough winger Dominic Green have been added to the squad ahead of United’s trip to Sutton United on Saturday.

Vine, 20, joined Pompey from Irish club Home Farm in 2010 but departed two years later and has since been playing in Portugal.

Green, 25, boasts Football League experience with Dagenham and Peterborough – including 11 games in the Championship with Posh – and last season played Conference South football for Ebbsfleet, Tonbridge Angels and Whitehawk.
