Hampton & Richmond Borough edged closer to promotion to National League South with a 3-0 win at Grays Athletic – but a win for rivals Bognor keeps the celebrations on hold.
Moussa Diarra opened the scoring for Hampton and Brendan Kiernan scored twice in the victory at Bridge Road.
At half-time, the title was heading to the Beveree with Bognor, the only side capable of overhauling Hampton, drawing 0-0 at Leiston.
But the Sussex side scored twice after the break to clinch a 2-0 win which keeps their hopes alive.
Bognor have a game in hand, against already-relegated Brentwood Town on Tuesday, which they will have to win – if they don’t, Alan Dowson’s side will be promoted.
