Former QPR youngster Parrett joins Wealdstone

Wealdstone announced the double signing of Dean Parrett and Jayden Randell prior to their entertaining 3-3 draw with Sutton United on Saturday evening.

Parrett (pictured) began his career at QPR before moving to Tottenham as a teenager.

Now 29, he has made over 200 appearances in the EFL and most recently played for Stevenage in League Two having also had spells at AFC Wimbledon and Gillingham.

Midfielder Parrett appeared as a late substitute against Sutton as the Stones came back from 2-0 down to take a 3-2 lead thanks to a double from Ross Lafayatte and a strike from Jacob Mendy before conceding a late equaliser.

Randell spent two seasons at Heybridge Swifts and provides boss Dean Brennan with more depth in defence.

The Stones will look to get back to winning ways with a trip to Notts County on Friday.
