Cambridge youngster joins Stones

Wealdstone have signed teenage midfielder Dylan Williams on a five-month loan deal from Cambridge United.

The 19-year-old will be with the National League South side until 2 January.

Williams came through Cambridge’s youth system and made his senior debut in April, playing the last 12 minutes of the 7-0 hammering of Morecambe, having been recalled from a loan spell at Soham Town Rangers.

He started with United at the age of nine, having previously been on the books of Ipswich Town.

Wealdstone have also brought in left-back Ciaran Brown, 18, from Bedfont Sports ahead of their opening league game at Dartford on Saturday.
