Robson signs new Middlesex deal

Batsman Sam Robson has signed a new two-year contract with Middlesex.

Robson, 22, was born in Australia but hopes to play for England and is regarded by Middlesex managing director of cricket Angus Fraser as an excellent prospect.

Fraser, said: “It has been hugely satisfying to watch Sam come through this season, and for his career to take a giant step in the right direction.

“He is a top lad and everyone at the club is delighted he is happy to spend the next two years, at least, of his career at Middlesex.

“He has provided our top order with stability and scored vital runs in difficult run chases against Kent and Surrey.”
