Middlesex release Davey and London
Middlesex will not be offering new contacts to all-rounder Josh Davey and batsman Adam London.
Scotland international Davey, 23, made his Middlesex debut in 2010 and in the past four seasons has made 23 first team appearances.
He has mostly been utilised in one-day cricket but scored three half centuries in four County Championship appearances.
London, 24, emerged from the club’s academy in 2008 and played 12 first-class matches, scoring four half centuries.
Middlesex director of cricket Angus Fraser said releasing the pair was ‘a tough decision’.
He added: “They are both good cricketers who have come through our youth system and are fine young men.
“However, young cricketers do get to an age when they need to be playing regular first XI cricket.
Adam and Josh are at this stage of their careers and are yet to claim regular first team places.”
