Duke returns to Middlesex on loan

Middlesex have re-signed Harry Duke on loan from Yorkshire for the rest of the season.

The 24-year-old returns to the club, having already featured for Middlesex earlier this campaign, and comes in as cover for Joe Cracknell, who faces several weeks out with a finger injury.

Duke’s first Middlesex appearance came in May against Lancashire, this week’s opponents, when he replaced the injured Cracknell on the second day. He followed that with a second outing at Lord’s against Derbyshire a week later.

“I’m really excited to be joining up with Middlesex again,” said Duke. “I loved my time down here at the start of the season, and I’m looking forward to contributing to some good performances towards the back end of the season.”

Middlesex director of cricket Alan Coleman said: “I am delighted to welcome Harry back to the club for the remainder of this season.

“Harry is a talented young wicketkeeper who has an excellent record with the gloves in first-class cricket.”
