Middlesex sign Duke from Yorkshire

Wicketkeeper Harry Duke has completed a permanent move to Middlesex from Yorkshire, signing a contract that runs until the end of the 2028 season.

Duke initially arrived at Lord’s on loan back in May, stepping in as temporary cover following an injury to teammate Joe Cracknell.

After returning for a second stint later in the summer to finish out the campaign, the 25-year-old has now chosen to make the switch permanent on the back of Sunday’s One-Day Cup triumph.

The batsman-wicketkeeper heads into the permanent contract on a strong run of form. Earlier this month, he recorded his highest-ever first-class score with an unbeaten 100 against Durham in the County Championship, narrowly missing out on back-to-back centuries when he posted 94 against Gloucestershire in the next fixture.

He also played a crucial role at Trent Bridge over the weekend, scoring 55 to help Middlesex overcome Leicestershire in the One-Day Cup final.
