Winger Dejagah leaves Fulham for Qatar

Ashkan Dejagah has left Fulham to join Qatari club Al-Arabi for an undisclosed fee.

The Iranian winger, 28, spent two years at Craven Cottage after being signed from German side Wolfsburg.

He made 49 appearances for the Whites, scoring six goals – including strikes against Newcastle and Hull as they battled in vain against relegation last season.

“Having spoken with Ashkan, we decided in the best interest of both Fulham and himself that he would leave,” said Fulham manager Felix Magath.

Dejagah’s exit was confirmed 24 hours after goalkeeper David Stockdale also completed a move away from the club, joining Brighton.
