Fulham reject offer from Spurs for Sessegnon

Fulham have rejected an offer from Tottenham for Ryan Sessegnon.

Spurs proposed a deal worth up to £25m for the 17-year-old left-back, who recently signed a three-year contract at Craven Cottage following months of speculation about his future.

Sessegnon, who can play at left-back or further forward, has been at Fulham since 2008, as has his twin brother Steven.

He made his senior debut in August last year and has made a total of 33 first-team appearances, scoring seven goals.

Tottenham have long been seriously interested in Sessegnon despite him being linked with various Premier League clubs, including Chelsea.

Arsenal did make an enquiry last last year, while reports have claimed that the likes of Liverpool and Manchester City have been looking to sign him.

Meanwhile, Fulham are in talks with Cardiff City over a possible deal to sign left-back Joe Bennett from the Welsh club.
