Riise returns to Fulham after Pompey loan

Bjorn Helge Riise has returned to Fulham following an unsuccessful loan spell at Portsmouth.

The Norwegian midfielder joined Pompey in September but made only two appearances for the Championship club, who opted not to extend his stay at Fratton Park.

Riise, 28, has struggled to establish himself at Craven Cottage since joining Fulham from Lillestrom in 2009.

Earlier this year he made 13 appearances during a three-month loan spell at Sheffield United.
