‘Relaxed’ Jokanovic insists pressure is on Fulham’s rivals

Fulham boss Slavisa Jokanovic insists all the pressure in the race for promotion remains on their rivals as he prepares to take his side to fourth-placed Derby County.

The Whites are on a 12-match unbeaten run ahead of the visit to Pride Park to face the Rams, who are one point and one place in front of them.

Fulham were 12th in the Championship before their current good form lifted them into the play-off spots and Jokanovic believes coming from behind suits his team.

“I am not under any pressure. I am relaxed,” he said.

“The pressure is for Derby, for Cardiff, for Aston Villa. Eight points [to second-place Cardiff] is a huge number. They are in a fantastic position.

“We can win all the games but if they win all the games, there doesn’t exist any solution for us.”

Jokanovic revealed he had a full-strength squad free of injuries to take on Derby and vowed to attack, rather than soak up pressure and hit on the break.

He said: “Staying in the shape, waiting for the 0-0, either catching them on the the counter attack or not, is not our plan.

“Our ideas are a little bit different. We are going to try and win the game.”
