Pay-as-you-play Fulham deal for Diarra

Fulham have re-signed midfielder Mahamadou Diarra on a pay-as-you-play deal until the end of the season.

The Mali international, whose previous Fulham contract expired at the end of last term, has been training with the Whites after recovering from a long-term knee injury.

Diarra, 32, had been allowed to train with the club under previous manager Martin Jol but not his successor Rene Meulensteen.

However, new boss Felix Magath was happy for the former Real Madrid star to rejoin the squad as they battle against relegation.

Fulham are bottom of the Premier League, four points adrift of safety with just seven games of the season remaining.

Diarra made 19 appearances after originally signing on a free transfer in February 2012.
