Odoi ‘on the mend’, says Parker

Scott Parker insisted Dennis Odoi was “on the mend” and “all good” after the defender was knocked unconscious during the first half of Fulham’s 1-0 win against Cardiff.

Maxime Le Marchand’s attempted clearance accidentally collided with his team-mate’s chest, sending Odoi face first to the ground.

Odoi was treated for almost 10 minutes on the pitch and received oxygen before being stretchered off.

Fulham caretaker boss Parker said: “It was a concern. But he’s well. He’s on the mend, he’s all good.

“He stayed and watched the second half and I’ve been told that he’s okay.”

Relegated Fulham are ending a hugely disappointing season with a flourish – Ryan Babel’s cracking strike gave them a third consecutive win.

“The players are doing themselves and everyone at the club proud,” Parker declared.

“Fulham fans ultimately want to see fight and desire, and that’s certainly what I want to see.”
