Iwobi injury worries ease after Fulham’s derby draw
Marco Silva believes a hamstring injury Alex Iwobi picked up during Fulham’s goalless draw at Brentford does not appear to be serious.
Iwobi went off just before half-time and was replaced by Samuel Chukwueze.
But Whites boss Silva explained: “The first reaction that I got from him is that it is not so bad.
“In the next 24 hours, 48 hours, the exams will give us a clear picture, and we can be more clear about the availability until the end of the season.”
A win would have taken Fulham level on points with their west London rivals in the battle for a European place.
But they struggled to create clear-cut chances and relied on keeper Bernd Leno, who produced a number of saves.
“We drew and we should not be pleased. We were more dominant first half. The moment we lost Alex had an impact.
“As always, you come with ambition to win the game. This afternoon was another chance to get three points. We got one and we have to move on.
“We have to go game by game. We have to look for the next one as the most important one, that is a cliché, but it’s the reality in football.”
