Injury ends Fulham defender’s season

Fulham defender Zdenek Grygera is likely to miss the rest of the season with the knee injury he suffered during the recent defeat against Tottenham.

Grygera faces at least six months on the sidelines after it was confirmed he sustained anterior cruciate ligament damage.

The 31-year-old Czech international joined Fulham in the summer following a four-year spell with Italian giants Juventus. His previous clubs also include Ajax and Sparta Prague.

He was stretchered off in obvious agony just before half-time against Spurs, and it was immediately clear his injury was serious.
