Fulham star Cairney faces several weeks out

Fulham expect captain Tom Cairney to be out for several weeks.

The midfielder, who has pulled out of international duty with Scotland, picked up a foot injury in last week’s Premier League win against Burnley.[phone]

He was quickly ruled out of Fulham’s game against Brighton this weekend and is now expected to be unavailable for some time.

Boss Slavisa Jokanovic said: “Tom Cairney is going to be unavailable for the Brighton game.

“He has a foot injury and we still need to assess him but it is our expectation that he will be unavailable for a few weeks.”

Neeskens Kebano, meanwhile, injured his ankle in Tuesday’s Carabao Cup win over Exeter and is likely to be sidelined for at least a month.

“Kebano has an ankle problem and he is probably going to be out for four weeks,” Jokanovic added.

“I am not a doctor, but it has a similarity to Cairney but it is not the same thing.”
