Half-time: Birmingham 2 Fulham 0 – Whites look to be heading for play-offs

Fulham look to be heading for the play-offs after falling behind to goals from Lukas Jutkeiwicz and Harlee Dean.

The Whites, who need to better Cardiff’s result to gain automatic promotion on the final day, wasted a number of chances and defended poorly in a disappointing first half.

The in-form Aleksandar Mitrovic went close from a free-kick just moments after Jutkeiwicz rifled home Wes Harding’s cross from the right on 15 minutes.

And Tom Cairney saw his volley from inside the box saved by David Stockdale after ex-Brentford pair Jota and Dean combined for the latter to head in.

Keeper Marcus Bettinelli was also needed to stop Jutkeiwicz finding his second from close range as the hosts put themselves on course to ensure safety in the Championship.

Fulham: Bettinelli, Fredericks, Odoi, Ream, Targett, McDonald, Johansen, Cairney, Sessegnon, Piazon, Mitrovic.
Subs not used: Button, Christie, Kalas, Norwood, Ayite, Fonte, Kamara.
