Ten-man Fulham disintegrated in a fourth successive defeat and have now conceded a total of 15 goals in their past four matches.

Owner Shahid Khan – in London with the Jacksonville Jaguars to play at Wembley on Sunday – watched as a Whites resurgence crumbled in the second half after Callum Wilson’s penalty had given Bournemouth a half-time lead.

David Brooks made it 2-0 with a cool finish two minutes before Kevin McDonald was shown a second yellow card, and then Wilson grabbed his second from close range late on.

Fulham appeared to be defending better than they had in heavy recent defeats to Everton, Arsenal and Cardiff, but the returning Timothy Fosu-Mensah tripped Wilson in the box for a clear penalty.

The hosts struggled to create chances throughout the game, with only Andre Schurrle really testing keeper Asmir Begovic in the first half, but they had Bournemouth pinned back for a time after the introduction of Tom Cairney.

Hopes of a comeback were dashed when Jean Michael Seri was robbed of the ball in his own half by Adam Smith and Ryan Fraser made the killer pass to Brooks, who applied the finish.

McDonald was punished for two late challenge on the dangerous Fraser, who then slid in Wilson to finish inside Sergio Rico’s near post on 85 minutes.
