Fulham’s Ruiz poised for Levante loan deal

Fulham forward Bryan Ruiz is set to complete a loan move to Spanish side Levante on Monday.

The Costa Rican, who scored four times in 17 Championship appearances, is out of contract in the summer so may have played his last game for the Whites.

The deal was agreed on Friday night, just as Spain’s transfer window closed, but international clearance and ratification from Fifa is required before it can be confirmed.

Ruiz, 29, cost Fulham £10.6m when he joined from Twente in 2011.

He has played 96 times for the Whites but missed the club’s relegation from the Premier League as he spent the second half of last season on loan at PSV Eindhoven.

Midfielders Chris David and Thomas Eisfeld are also set to move on.

David, 21, is on the verge of making a permanent return to Dutch club FC Twente, from where he joined Fulham in January 2013.

Eisfeld, 22, moved to Craven Cottage in the summer from Arsenal but is now in talks with German side VfL Bochum over a loan move.
