Coventry v Fulham player ratings

Oscar Bobb’s brilliant late goal made it back-to-back wins for Fulham. Here’s how we rated each Whites player in the 1-0 victory at Coventry.

Bernd Leno: 7

Comfortable with the routine saves from Tatsuhiro Sakamoto and Brandon Thomas-Asante, and reacted quickly to smother the ball in a goalmouth scramble after a Coventry corner was knocked down.

Timothy Castagne: 6

Recovered well after an early tussle with Thomas-Asante and put a dangerous cut-back across the box, though one ball over the top drifted out of play.

David Affengruber: 7

A steady, low-key afternoon as part of a back line that held firm for the whole game.

Calvin Bassey: 7

At the centre of the first-half penalty appeal and calm in possession, playing Josh King in down the left. Lost the ball to Sakamoto early in the second half and had a long-range effort blocked.

Antonee Robinson: 6

A mixed day. His burst down the left created Gonzalo Garcia’s best chance of the first half, but played Thomas-Asante in with a loose back pass.

Hugo Larsson: 6

Tidy in midfield and helped set up King’s second-half chance with a headed pass.

Shea Charles: 6

Tested Carl Rushworth from distance and took a booking for the team to stop a Coventry counter.

Josh King: 7

Fulham’s best first-half chance fell to him, and his shot came back off the post. Snatched at another opening after the break when Oscar Bobb was free.

Oscar Bobb: 8

Fulham’s most dangerous player. Set up King’s effort against the post, then won the game with his first Premier League goal for the club, beating Jack Rudoni and curling past Rushworth.

Alex Iwobi: 6

A quiet afternoon. Struggled to control an early long ball and survived a VAR check for handball.

Gonzalo Garcia: 6

Worked hard and had two first-half sights of goal, one blocked and one deflected into the side netting, but service into the box was patchy.

Sander Berge: 6

Helped Fulham keep control of midfield as they pushed for the winner, and was part of a side that saw out the clean sheet.
