Fulham man makes Pompey loan move

Fulham midfielder Bjorn Helge Riise has joined Portsmouth on loan until 7 November.

Riise, 28, is out of the first-team picture at Craven Cottage and is expected to make his Pompey debut in Tuesday’s match against Peterborough.

The Norway international, who signed for Fulham from Lillestrom in 2009, has Championship experience having spent part of last season on loan at Sheffield United.

He has made only five Premier League starts during his two years in west London and all of his four outings for the Whites this term have been in the Europa League.
