Fulham keen to speak to Pearson, Rosler and Lambert

Former Brentford boss Uwe Rosler is one of three current contenders for the Fulham manager’s job, but Nigel Pearson is top of the club’s wanted list.

Fulham are keen to speak to Pearson, Rosler and former Aston Villa boss Paul Lambert following the recent sacking of Kit Symons.

Hull manager Steve Bruce and ex-QPR boss Harry Redknapp, who have also been linked with the post, are currently not being considered.

Pearson was sacked by Leicester City in June and has also been linked with QPR but is not currently in the running for their vacant manager’s job.

Lambert was dismissed by Aston Villa in February this year, while Rosler is out of work having recently been sacked by Leeds United.

Rosler spent two-and-a-half-years at Brentford before opting to leave for Wigan in December 2013, partly because his family home is in the north-west.

Fulham’s chief football officer Mike Rigg is overseeing the appointment of a new manager after Symons was axed following Saturday’s 5-2 defeat at home to Birmingham.

Alan Curbishley, who has been at the club in an advisory role, has been asked to take training.
