Fulham deny Dempsey exit reports

Fulham have denied reports that Clint Dempsey is on the verge of leaving Craven Cottage to join Liverpool.

It has been reported that a fee has been agreed for the 29-year-old United States international, while a website linked to Liverpool’s American owners appeared to confirm that Dempsey was on his way to Anfield.

But Fulham continue to insist they do not want to sell Dempsey and say they have not received a bid for him.

Dempsey, who scored 23 goals last season, is now in the final year of his Fulham contract.
