No Palhinha release clause, Fulham chief insists

Fulham chief Tony Khan has dismissed reports of a release clause in João Palhinha’s contract.

It comes amid speculation that West Ham could target the Whites midfielder as a replacement for Declan Rice.

England midfielder Rice is set to leave the east London club this summer.

Portugal international Palhinha, 27, was outstanding for Fulham last season following his move from Sporting Lisbon.

His performances have led to him being touted for a possible move – and West Ham have been linked with him in recent weeks.

However, Khan took to Twitter after Talksport suggested that the Hammers were keen on Palhinha and that there is a release clause.

“There is no release clause,” Khan stated.
