Silva plays down reports linking Boa Morte with Cardiff and Fulham

Fulham boss Marco Silva has played down reports linking Luis Boa Morte with the vacant managerial jobs at Cardiff and Charlton.

The former Whites winger, now assistant manager at Craven Cottage, has been touted as a contender for both positions since Cardiff’s recent sacking of Mick McCarthy and Charlton’s of Nigel Adkins.

Silva, whose side face promotion rivals West Brom today, insisted he was unaware of speculation over Boa Morte’s future – and that it is a sign Fulham are doing well.

He added: “It’s not our focus. Our energies are for the match against West Brom and preparing our players.

“If he’s linked it means someone is looking at Fulham Football Club and they are happy with what Fulham are doing on the pitch, and this is the main thing for me.

“Everything that can happen, like our players linked with other clubs or someone else at the club, is because you are doing something right and because you are achieving things.”
