Fulham forward Sone Aluko has completed a move to Championship rivals Reading.

The two clubs had agreed a fee of around £7.5m for the 28-year-old, who scored nine goals in 54 appearances for the Whites.

Aluko concluded the deal on Tuesday by agreeing personal terms and passing a medical.

Last month, Fulham boss Slavisa Jokanovic – who has no influence over transfer policy at Craven Cottage – warned the club against selling Aluko.

He said: “I have to fight for Sone Aluko, because around me is some news that we are thinking about selling him.

“If we do this, it will be a big mistake for my team.”

However, since then Fulham have signed Aboubakar Kamara, Sheyi Ojo and Rui Fonte and have also been linked with a move for Brentford wideman Jota.
