Ross McCormack has told Fulham he wants to leave Craven Cottage.

The 29-year-old striker was signed from Leeds in a big-money deal in 2014 and last summer extended his contract until 2019.

But he has requested a transfer in an attempt to secure a move ahead of Monday’s deadline.

Middlesbrough have made offers for McCormack but have so far been unable to prise him away from Fulham, who are moving towards a deal to sell Moussa Dembele to Tottenham for a fee of around £5m.

McCormack has scored 36 goals for the Whites, 17 of them coming this season.
