Leeds draw was Fulham’s best display – Jokanovic

Jokanovic is keen to sign replacements for Ross McCormack and Moussa Dembele

Fulham boss Slavisa Jokanovic insisted his side produced their best performance of the season so far at Leeds, despite being denied a third straight win.

Chris Wood equalised in stoppage time to prevent Fulham securing their best start to a season in 16 years – since they were promoted to the Premier League in 2000-01.

“We are frustrated and disappointed after this late goal we conceded,” Jokanovic said, on his 48th birthday.

“But in general my team played the best game of the season so far. We had everything under control and created chances. I can be satisfied with many things.

“The Championship is very famous for these last few minutes and we paid an expensive price. They scored a typical Championship goal – one big centre-back touched the ball and one big striker scored.

“We didn’t score more goals early on or through the game, and needed more luck in front of goal.”
