Speculation over Whites star Sessegnon’s future continues

Stories in Wednesday’s newspapers involving the area’s clubs…

There continues to be speculation over the future of Fulham’s Ryan Sessegnon.

Tottenham have long been interested in the teenager, who has been linked with several other top clubs.

The Sun suggest Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino’s record of developing young players means Sessegnon is ready to choose a move to north London rather than Manchester United or Paris St-Germain, who are apparently also keen on him.

It is also claimed that Borussia Dortmund are interested and could sign him at the end of next season if he chooses to see out the final year of his contract at Craven Cottage.

Meanwhile, Maurizio Sarri is again being tipped to take over at Roma this summer.

Amid speculation that head coach Sarri is on his way out of Chelsea, reports in his native Italy suggest he could return to Serie A this summer.

The Sun have picked up on Corriere Dello Sport declaring that former Napoli boss Sarri is being considered for the Roma job.

This could save the Blues “a fortune”, The Sun say, as it would mean the club would not have to pay up his contract if they decide to sack him.

And The Sun and the Daily Mirror have picked up on French media reports claiming that Chelsea want Nicolas Pepe, who has scored 19 goals for Eden Hazard’s former club Lille this season.

He is among several players to have been touted as a possible replacement for Blues star Hazard, who continues to be linked with Real Madrid.
