Mirror tout Jokanovic as candidate for Southampton job

Fulham boss Slavisa Jokanovic has been touted as a candidate to take over as Southampton manager.

The Daily Mirror say Saints boss Mauricio Pellegrino is facing the sack at the end of the season regardless of whether the south-coast club stay in the Premier League.

The Mirror claim Southampton’s board have started drawing up a shortlist of potential replacements and are interested in Jokanovic.

Former Southampton and Stoke City player Graham Potter, currently in charge of Swedish side Östersunds, is also said to be in the frame.

Meanwhile. Chelsea’s recent dismal performance against Manchester City has prompted more speculation over the future of Eden Hazard, who continues to be linked with Real Madrid.

The Daily Telegraph claim Chelsea players fear boss Antonio Conte’s defensive tactics could push Hazard towards leaving the club.

And the Daily Mail claim Hazard is stalling over signing a new contract at Stamford Bridge and will look to leave if Real show serious interest in him this summer.
