Dempsey undergoes medical at Fulham

Clint Dempsey has been undergoing a medical at Fulham ahead of his expected return to Craven Cottage.

The American forward, 30, is set to rejoin the Whites on a two-month loan deal from MLS side Seattle Sounders.

Dempsey, who spent five-and-a-half years at Fulham before moving to Tottenham in 2012, is available on a short-term basis following the close of the MLS season.

Fulham boss Rene Meulensteen confirmed: “Clint is having a medical. We are looking at the loan.

“It has been happening over the last few days and over the next couple of days.”
