Boateng in talks with Watford and Evian

Fulham boss Rene Meulensteen has confirmed that Derek Boateng is in talks with Watford and French club Evian.

Boateng, 30, has made only three Premier League appearances since joining the Whites from Dnipro last summer and is available for a loan move.

Championship club Watford are keen to sign a midfielder and have also shown an interest in QPR’s Samba Diakite.

Meulensteen said: “There has been interest in Derek from Watford and also from Evian in France. There are ongoing discussions between the clubs and the player.”

France Football have reported that Sunderland are considering a move for the Ghana international.

Meulensteen also confirmed that Fulham have submitted a bid for Leicester City defender Liam Moore.
