Berbatov keen to leave Fulham, says agent

Dimitar Berbatov wants to leave Fulham in January, his agent has told the Press Association.

Emil Dantchev said the Bulgarian forward, 32, “would like, if possible, to find another option” next month as he is unhappy at Craven Cottage.

Berbatov enjoyed an excellent season after being signed from Manchester United in the summer of 2012, scoring 15 goals.

But he has scored only once in the league this term and there was speculation about his future prior to Rene Meulensteen taking over as Fulham manager after Martin Jol’s sacking at the weekend.

And Dantchev confirmed that Berbatov, whose contract expires at the end of the campaign, wants to move sooner rather than later.

“I don’t usually speculate as nobody knows what will happen in January, but what I can tell you is he is not happy at Fulham,” Dantchev said.
